The Weizmann Institute of Science, located in Rehovot, Israel, is considered to be one of the top 10 research centers in the world. 2,500 researchers and scientists are currently working on over 1,000 projects. 40% of the research at Weizmann is cancer related. Weizmann is also testing a breakthrough procedure which may reverse spinal cord injuries and are developing a new drug which may combat Alzheimer's disease.

Weizmann is world renowned for its creation of successful drug therapy for people with Multiple Sclerosis. Its development of an MRI based method to improve the diagnosis of breast cancer and to monitor its treatment is currently in clinical testing.
